Client: Hotel Ambasador, an 18-room hotel in Valea Lupului, Iași · Website: hotelambasador.ro · Services: competitor analysis, UI/UX design, web development, SEO/AEO/GEO, social media setup · Year: 2026
Hotel Ambasador is a family hotel on the edge of Iași, close to Mall Moldova, with 18 rooms in four room types, an outdoor pool, breakfast included in the price and an events hall for up to 120 guests. We designed and built its new website from scratch, with a modern interface, a refined color palette and a clear path from first impression to booking request.
The challenge
The previous website, ambasadoriasi.ro, still worked, but it no longer matched the hotel. The layout looked dated, information about rooms, prices, events and facilities was hard to compare, and the pages were heavy: more than 100 requests and around 3 MB of data per page, with the homepage layout visibly jumping while it loaded. The hotel also had no social media presence linked to its website, and nothing that told search engines or AI assistants clearly what the hotel offers and where it is.

What we did
Competitor analysis and positioning
We started by analyzing the hotels and event venues Hotel Ambasador competes with in and around Iași, comparing how they present rooms, prices, facilities and events, and how easy they make it to book. This showed where the hotel fits best: a quiet, comfortable stay on the edge of the city, minutes from Mall Moldova, with transparent prices, breakfast included, a pool and a venue for weddings and private events. The new website is built around exactly that positioning.
A modern website built from scratch
Instead of updating the old theme, we designed a new website from a blank page. The visual identity uses black, warm cream and gold, inspired by the hotel’s classic white facade, with elegant serif headings, generous spacing and large photography. The homepage opens with the hotel and an availability request bar, then leads guests through the reasons to stay, the four room types with their nightly rates, key figures, a photo gallery and the most frequently asked questions.
- A dedicated page for each room type (Double, Triple, Matrimonial and VIP) with photos, facilities and prices.
- Facility pages for the breakfast bar and the outdoor pool.
- An events and weddings section that presents the venue and its capacity.
- A gallery, a journal for news and local tips, a booking request form and a contact page.
- A responsive layout designed for phones first, where most guests start their search.

Ready for search engines and AI answers
We adapted the website for SEO, AEO and GEO and made the adjustments needed for the hotel, its location and the answers to guests’ most common questions to be correctly indexed and understood by search engines and AI assistants.
Social media accounts
We created the hotel’s Facebook, Instagram and X accounts and connected them to the website, ready to be populated with rooms, events and news, so the hotel can start building an audience alongside its new site.

The results
These are page performance results, not visitor numbers. We tested four equivalent pages of the old and new website (homepage, rooms, events and booking) in a lab setting: each page was loaded three times on a simulated phone with an empty cache, and we report the median.
| Page performance on mobile (lab test, average of 4 pages) | Old website | New website | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Requests per page | 104 | 26 | 73% fewer |
| Page weight | 3.1 MB | 1.4 MB | 53% lighter |
| Layout shift on the homepage (desktop CLS) | 0.72 (poor) | 0.003 (good) | stable layout |
The new website gives Hotel Ambasador a modern, consistent image that matches the experience at the hotel, clear information that helps guests choose and request a booking, and a foundation for its new social media presence.
Technologies
WordPress, Elementor, structured data for search engines and AI assistants, and a booking request form connected to the hotel’s email.
