Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data pingers.ro collects, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have. We collect as little as possible and we never sell your data.

1. Who we are

The data controller is Pingers IT Services, Iași, Romania. For anything related to your personal data, write to contact@pingers.ro or call +40 742 143 458.

2. What data we collect and why

When you contact us

If you email or call us, we receive your name, contact details and whatever you choose to tell us. We use this only to answer you and, if we work together, to prepare an offer and deliver the project. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).

When you use the Website Audit tool

• Running an audit: we process the web address you enter and your IP address. The IP address is used only to limit the number of audits per hour and to protect the tool from abuse. It is stored as a one-way hash and deleted automatically after one hour. Audit results are cached for a few hours so the same report loads faster. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Asking us for help after an audit: if you fill in the form under your report, we receive your name, email address, phone number (optional), website, message and the audit scores. We store this on our website and receive it by email, and use it only to reply to your request. Legal basis: steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b)).

Statistics (only with your consent)

If you accept statistics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited and how people find our website. Google Analytics does not run until you accept, and you can withdraw consent at any time with the “Manage consent” button. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).

Security and server logs

Like every website, our server and our security firewall (Wordfence) record technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to keep the website secure and working. These logs are kept for a limited time and are not used to identify visitors. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

3. Third-party services

• Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.): website statistics, only after consent.
• Google reCAPTCHA (Google): protects the audit forms from spam and automated abuse. It loads only when you start using the audit form.
• Google Maps and YouTube (Google): embedded map and videos, loaded only after you accept the related cookies.
• Google PageSpeed Insights (Google): when you run an audit, the web address you enter is sent to Google to measure speed and accessibility. No personal data about you is included.
• Our hosting provider, which stores the website and its data under a data processing agreement.

Google may process data outside the European Economic Area. These transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Google’s standard contractual clauses. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

4. Cookies

We only set non-essential cookies after you agree. You can see the full list and change your choice in our Cookie Policy.

5. How long we keep data

• Enquiries and audit help requests: up to 2 years after our last contact, unless we start working together.
• Client and contract data: as long as required by Romanian accounting and tax law.
• Rate-limiting data from the audit tool: 1 hour.
• Google Analytics data: as set in our Google Analytics account, at most 14 months.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email contact@pingers.ro. We reply within one month.

You also have the right to complain to the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP (www.dataprotection.ro).

7. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
